Hello Troop,

Hope everyone had a reflective/good Memorial Day weekend. We had a good turnout for the parade, thank you everyone that made the effort to come down and participate.

Our scouting year is winding down for weekly meetings and we have our last Court of Honor coming up on June 10^th. This COH will be held at Crab Meadow Beach where we will be hosting an end of year BBQ.

The Troop will provide all the items of the grill, burgers/dogs/etc. We need everyone to bring a side and/or desert dish and drink.

Also coming up will be our annual Troop elections in the next two weeks. The results of which will be announced at the COH.

Lastly – I have added all the new scouts to our advancement board – attached is a picture of the current rankings of each scout. At the top of the board is a badge representing each of the 7 ranks in Scouting.  As you can see there is a large number of scouts on the left side of the advancement board and we would like to see those names begin to migrate to the right.

If your son is working on an advancement and would like to be recognized at this COH – he will need to complete any requirements, get them signed off, schedule the Board of Review and Scoutmaster conferences. We only have two more meetings to complete these things. If your son thinks he is ready for a Board of Review and/or Scoutmaster conference – have them contact me prior to a meeting to schedule.

Parents of younger Scouts – check with your son and review the requirements (in the scout book).  Some requirements can be completed by the parent and scout.
