Hello Troop 410
Here is an update on our Hi-Adv trip to the Bahamas.
We have come in under budget.!!!
Initially I thought it would cost more than $1500.00 for our trip (15 to 16 hundred), but we were able to cut transportation cost with the help of our troop travel agent, Barbara Maggio of Odyssey Travel.
Below is a break down of trip expenses and payments required.
EXPENSES:
1. BSA – SEA BASE
Cost is $ 815.00 per person
– 7/2 – 7/8 Bahama sail boat cruise
2. TRANSPORTATION
Cost is $ 685.00 per person
includes
– ground transport
– round trip airfare
– NYC to Florida
– Florida to Bahamas
I have charged on my credit card the required deposits for our airfare.
– $2,000. for Delta – $100/pp
– $1,000. for Bahama Air – $50/pp
These are the trip costs.
I have tried my best to keep this trip as cheap as possible for our troop.
If anything changes, I will let you all know right away.
PAYMENTS:
We have deadlines to meet, they are listed below.
1. BSA – SEA BASE
– $100 deposit April 1st, 2015 – PAID
– $357.50 first half payment October 15th, 2015 – PAID
– $357.50 Final payment IS DUE by April 1st, 2016 – DUE
2. TRANSPORTATION
– $150 at next meeting (Wed 2/24) or by end of this month. I have credit card payment to make
– $585 balance must be PAID IN FULL by May 1st.
So here is a summary of important dates to make you planning easier.
– END of FEBRUARY(this month)
$150 / pp deposit
-BY APRIL 1st
$357.50 / pp final Sea Base payment
-By MAY 1st
$585.00 / pp final transportation fee
Checks are to be made out to TROOP 410 and accepted at any time.
