Hi folks,
Please find the attached permission slip for the NYC Day Trip on December 10th. One of the items planned is a crossing of the Brooklyn Bridge. The views are fantastic if the weather is supposed to be good.
Some notes on this trip:
We’ll be taking the LIRR to Brooklyn. Cost for an off peak ticket is $22.
We’ll also be taking the subway. Cost of the subway trip $5.50 for two trips.
The boys should also plan to have spending money for lunch/snacks. I would plan on an additional $20-25.
The train leaves Huntington at 8:03 AM. You’ll need to arrive earlier and purchase your tickets. Or plan ahead and get them earlier in the week.
Looking at the return schedules, we’ll likely be on the 3:22 PM train, arriving back in Huntington at 4:28 PM, but may be earlier if the boys are tired. Earlier train gets in at 3:55 PM.
For any parents that wish to attend, it would be great to have you along. It’s a way to get involved without spending a cold wet night on a camping trip.
