Subject: I’m Bored
Have you heard the words “I’m bored” yet from your Scout this summer?
Don’t let it happen.
After next week’s T410 Summer Camp trip to Ten Mile River (TMR), there are a number of additional local events were Scouts can earn merit badges and gain Scouting skills.
Here’s a list to discuss with your Scout. These programs are run by the BSA Suffolk County Council
Boy Scout Day Camp – weekly: See https://www.sccbsa.org/boy-scout-day-camp and https://www.sccbsa.org/files/7137/Boy-ScoutDay-Camp-FAQ
Specialty Camps: https://www.sccbsa.org/specialty-camp
Aquatics Camp (August 13-18): https://www.sccbsa.org/files/8582/Aquatics-FAQ-pdf
Field Sports Camp (August 13-18): https://www.sccbsa.org/files/8585/Field-Sports-FAQ-pdf

For those Scouts who can’t attend TMR camp week, there may also still be room in the Matinecock District Summer Merit Badge Program. Session 2 will meet Thursday Aug 3rd and Aug 10th. Details and sign-up form: http://matdistrict.org/summer-merit-badge-program/
Make it an interesting, fun and productive summer.
