Subject: Den Chiefs Needed

Scouts and Parents,

A Den Chief training program will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 by Matinecock District.

A Den Chief is a Boy Scout who assists a Cub Scout or Webelos Scout den. A role model for the boys in the Den & the Pack, he promotes Scouting and facilitates the transition of Cub Scouts into the Boy Scout program.

The Den Chief is a critical leadership position in the Troop, and great role for dedicated older Scouts who will need a formal position in the Troop this year to advance in rank.

Scouts – if you are interested in taking the Den Chief position, speak to me or Mr. Sangirardi at the next meeting. There is room for 2 or 3 Den Chiefs in the Troop.

Parents – please talk to your Scouts about this opportunity.
