Hi folks,

This year’s Webelos Woods will be held on 10/27 – 10/29 at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington. It’s a new venue and we have no idea what to expect yet. It is closer which is nice for us.

Planning will be on Wednesday 10/25. If you are attending the outing, please make sure you attend the planning meeting so you can get your tent assignments and food assignments squared away.

Attached is the permission slip. Trying something new by using the standard BSA permission slip. It can be filled out on a computer and printed out.

The cost for the outing will be $20 per person camping. Scouts and adults.

Boys usually have a good time at Webelos Woods and it is our main troop recruiting event of the year. Please come if you can. If we look like a good healthy troop, it increases our chances getting a good recruiting class. Parents would be a big help during the day on Saturday to talk to other parents too. It shows involvement and parents talking to others at a personal level can help put perspective parents at ease on their son joining Troop 410. We’ve had a few good recruiting classes in a row and don’t want to lose the momentum.

Class A shirts are required for this event. They will be worn on Saturday during the presentations by our scouts.
